And in the process of making a huge bag of stuff to take to a thrift store, I discovered a few interesting things about my clothes and wardrobe:
1) I own more pairs of shoes than pairs of jeans.
2) I can remember interesting details about almost everything I own (for example, I have a striped shirt from Old Navy, and at the time I bought it, I was actually shopping with my ex-boyfriend (as in, he was my ex at the time). I can remember some of the stuff he said about the shirt, too.
3) All of the hoodies I own are either in black, white, or very drab neutrals— except one, which is a pinkish-red. Trend, anyone?
4) I have three dresses here, none of which I have worn out anywhere.
5) Most of my underwear was made in China. I don’t know how I feel about this.
6) I am a size ‘Medium’ in pants when shopping at Fairweather. Again, I don’t know how I feel about this, except that for those of you who know me in person, you know that I am a very thin 5’3” who weighs less than 100lbs. This either says something utterly ridiculous about Fairweather’s sizing system or that my hips are abnormally wide (which doesn’t seem to be the case). Hm.
7) I think I need way more stuff than I actually need. Hence the huge bag of clothing which will soon be on its way to people who DO actually need it.
Apparently I need to clean out my closet more often… it is an interesting learning experience.
