I can’t seem to talk on the phone anymore.

It just seems like phone conversations are in that weird ground between face-to-face and digital communication, and it’s an awkward place to be. Maybe this is why I’ve botched two interviews, broken up with someone badly, and recently stuck my foot in my mouth very thoroughly (when arranging a first date, to boot) all over the phone.
